Introducing your instructor, Jane Morgan-Jones
A 3rd Dan black belt holder and former British martial arts champion, Jane’s love of yoga was established long before she qualified as a zen yoga teacher. “I practiced yoga throughout my karate career as it gave me more flexibility and strength not only in body but also in mind.”
Jane is a Zen and Yin yoga teacher and is also qualified in face yoga and aerial yoga. Zen Yoga is a dynamic yet gentle form of exercise that incorporates mindfulness and meditation. Yin Yoga is floor based and allows time for the body to truly unwind and soften. Both styles are linked to the Meridian healing system of the body and are accessible to all, friendly, fun and as challenging as you want.
“It has become a privilege to teach and I truly believe I have found my vocation.”
Introducing your Mindfulness Practitioner, Annie Huddleston
Annie Huddleston carried out her Mindfulness Practitioner Training through the Dorset Mindfulness Centre, which is the largest mindfulness organisation in Dorset. Their professional training has been assessed, approved and quality checked by the NCS (National Counselling Society).
Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment and accepting it without judgment. Mindfulness is now being examined scientifically and has been found to be a key element in stress reduction and overall happiness.
Though it has its roots in Buddhist meditation, a secular practice of mindfulness has entered the American mainstream in recent years, in part through the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and his mindfulness – Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, which he launched at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979.
